The St. Louis Physician Alliance congratulates Board member, George J. Hruza M.D., MBA, FAAD, adjunct professor of dermatology at Saint Louis University, on his one-year term as President of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), the world’s largest dermatologic society, representing more than 20,000 dermatologists, and its sister organization, the American Academy of Dermatology Association.
Dr. Hruza’s focus during his tenure as AAD President is to empower members to view change within the healthcare landscape as an opportunity and to inspire them to get involved in the Academy’s efforts on behalf of their patients and the specialty.
Dr. Hruza earned his medical degree from New York University where he completed his dermatology residency. He completed a laser surgery fellowship at Harvard University and a Mohs surgery fellowship at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He earned his MBA from Washington University in St. Louis.
Previously serving as a member of the AAD Board of Directors, Dr. Hruza also is a past president of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery, and the St. Louis Metropolitan Medical Society.
